Handwheel Operated Elevated Monitor
This elevated remote control monitor is designed so that the
horizontal and vertical movement of the upper assembly can be
controlled at ground level - By utilizing two 15" cast
brass handwheels, the monitor can be rotated 360 degrees and the
vertical position can be adjusted from 90 degrees above to 60
degrees below horizontal - The CJ-B-RC nozzle, which is standard
equipment on this unit as well as a stream shaper tube, can be
adjusted by means of its cable control - Upper monitor unit
is constructed of rugged cast brass with chrome plated brass
worm gear and stainless steel worm drive shaft - It is0 designed
to flow up to 1000 GPM and has a 4.0" NPT female inlet and
a 2.5" NHT outlet - Grease zerks are furnished at swivel
joints for easy lubrication - Lower base unit is
constructed of rugged cast brass with chrome plated brass worm
gear and drive shaft - It has a double row of bronze bearings
for smooth operation and a Teflon bearing surface on which the
weight of the upper unit rides - Grease zerks are furnished for
easy lubrication and the gear assembly is protected by a molded
urethane weather guard - Base unit is standard with a
4.0"-150# ANSI flange inlet and a 4.0" NPT female
outlet - A 4.0" NPT female inlet is optional - Upper
handwheel assembly is constructed of rugged cast brass with
cadmium plated miter gears and stainless steel drive shaft - It
is furnished with U-bolts to attach to the 4.0" riser pipe
- Complete 294-11RC can be fabricated to a height of 34'
- Customer to furnish 4.0" riser pipe and .750" brass
or stainless steel drive rod between upper and lower units -
Customer also responsible for sufficiently supporting standpipe
on which monitor is mounted (contact our engineering department
for guidelines and recommendations) - 295 support bearing must
be used above lower base unit when: 500 GPM is flowed with
elevation above 20'; or when 750 GPM is flowed with elevation
above 15'; or when 1000 GPM is flowed with elevation above 10' -
Monitor is furnished with CJ-B-RC nozzle and 282B stream shaper
- Optional with 282B stream shaper and 181 deluge tip - Finish
red acrylic/urethane enamel with satin brass trim - Weight,
224lbs.with stream shaper and nozzle. |

rotated 360 degrees and the vertical can be adjusted from 90
degrees above to 60 degrees below - The monitor will flow up to
1000 GPM and is constructed of rugged cast brass with chrome
plated brass worm gears and stainless steel worm drive shafts -
Grease zerks are furnished at swivel joints for easy lubrication
- The chainwheels and chain guides are aluminum alloy (brass
available upon request) - Available with 4.0" NPT female or
4.0" 150# ANSI flange base (please specify) - Monitor
furnished with CJ-B-RC nozzle and 282B stream shaper (CJN-B-RC
nozzle optional at additional cost) - Optional with 282B stream
shaper and 181 deluge tip - Customer furnishes and is
responsible for integrity of the standpipe on which monitor is
mounted (contact our engineering department for guidelines and
recommendations) - Customer also furnishes chain for operating
monitor (.250" non-metallic aluminum chain, McMaster-Carr
part number 3620T21) - Finish red acrylic/urethane enamel with
satin brass trim - Weight, 139 lbs. with stream shaper and

Free-standing Elevated Monitor
A pre-fabricated free-standing elevated monitor which
utilizes the flow-efficient 299-11 "Python" monitor -
Availble in 10', 15', 20', 25', 30' and 40' heights -
Flow-efficient, tubular steel riser pipe allows for flows up to
750 GPM - Tubular steel horizontal drive sleeve allows for
continuous 360 degree rotation - Vertical movement from 45
degrees above to 35 degrees below horizontal is controlled by
vinyl coated stainless steel cables - Two handwheel driven
friction locks allow for stable positioning of the monitor -
2.5" NHT male outlet and 4.0"-150# or 6.0"-150#
ANSI flange base - Optional CJ-B-RC or CJN-B-RC remote
controlled nozzles are ideal for use on these monitors - Also
optional with 282B stream shaper and 181 deluge tip - Units
shipped assembled (25', 30' and 40' units shipped in two
assembled sections, each requiring two field welds) - Finish red
acrylic/urethane enamel. |
